Our Story

Picture a dock somewhere in Ontario cottage country. The light has gone that particular shade of gold that only happens between six and eight in the evening. There's a cold drink in someone's hand. Someone else is pulling on a hoodie. A loon calls out across the water and nobody says anything for a moment, because some moments don't need words. That feeling — that exact, unrepeatable, undeniably Canadian feeling — is where Sapsuckers® was born.

I'm Tim, and I started Sapsuckers® because I couldn't find Canadian lifestyle gear that felt genuinely, authentically Canadian. Not a maple leaf ironed onto a generic tee made somewhere else. Not a brand that just slapped "Canada" on something and called it a day. I wanted something with real identity — gear that understood dock life and maple syrup pride the way Canadians actually live it. So I built it.

Sapsuckers® runs on two pillars, and both of them are as Canadian as it gets.

The first is Dock O'Clock™. It's not just a phrase — it's a feeling every Canadian knows. It's the exact moment on a summer evening when the light turns golden, the day's obligations quietly evaporate, and someone reaches for a cold drink. You don't need to check your watch. The second is maple syrup. Canada produces 73% of the world's maple syrup — it isn't just a condiment, it's a birthright. It's morning pancakes at the cottage, the smell of a sugar bush in early spring, and a connection to the land that runs deeper than most of us stop to think about. We wear that pride on everything from our aprons to our rocks glasses — because it deserves to be celebrated.

Every Sapsuckers® product is made to order by a network of trusted Canadian makers. We don't sit on warehouses full of inventory. When you order something, it's created specifically for you. That means your order takes a little longer than the big-box alternatives — typically 5–10 business days from order to door — but it also means your piece was made with intention. It means something when it arrives.
